The six major interior renovation projects were often carried out simultaneously because each affected department had to be temporarily relocated during construction. At the same time, each work site had to maintain a strict adherence to the CDC’s Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) checklist, covering such issues as hygiene and patient safety.

A total of over 30,000 square feet was renovated, including the Labor & Delivery unit, ICU, Oncology, the Staff Cafeteria and Kitchen, and the LEAN Learning Laboratory.
